The best way to reach Anonymous is by email. This page explains what to include so your message reaches the right person quickly.
How to contact Anonymous
All messages to Anonymous go to one monitored inbox: [email protected]. Our team reads every message.
To help us route your message, please start the subject line with one of the labels below, for example TIP or CORRECTION.
News tips and story ideas
If you know about a story we should cover, use the subject line TIP. Please tell us:
- What happened, where and when.
- How you know about it, and whether you witnessed it yourself.
- Any documents, photos or videos that support it, and who created them.
- How we can contact you to follow up.
We check every tip independently before reporting on it, and sending a tip does not guarantee coverage. Please do not send us material you obtained illegally.
Sharing sensitive information safely
Regular email is not a secure channel. Please do not send confidential documents, passwords, financial details or government identification numbers by plain email.
If your tip is sensitive, send a short first message describing the subject in general terms and how we can reach you. A member of our team will reply to discuss next steps. If you want to remain anonymous, say so in your message. We will not reveal a confidential source’s identity without consent, except where required by law.
Corrections and clarifications
If you believe something we published is wrong, use the subject line CORRECTION. Please include:
- The headline or web address of the content.
- The exact statement, image or caption you believe is inaccurate.
- What you believe is correct, with evidence or a source where possible.
An editor reviews every request. Read how we handle them in our Corrections Policy.
Privacy and data requests
To ask about your personal data, or to exercise rights such as access, correction or deletion, use the subject line PRIVACY. Tell us which right you wish to exercise and, if relevant, the comment or page your request relates to. We may need to confirm your identity before acting. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Advertising, partnerships and business
For advertising, brand partnership or Shop and affiliate inquiries, use the subject line BUSINESS. Please include your company name, a short description of your proposal and your timeline.
Commercial relationships are handled separately from our newsroom. Partners never control our editorial decisions, and sponsored content is always clearly labeled. Learn more on our Ownership and Funding page.
Legal, copyright and permissions
To republish, license or quote our original articles, photos or videos beyond normal fair use, use the subject line PERMISSIONS and describe how you would like to use the material.
For copyright complaints, use the subject line COPYRIGHT and include the details listed in our Terms of Use. For other legal matters, use the subject line LEGAL.
Feedback and general questions
For questions, comments on our coverage or feedback about the website, use the subject line FEEDBACK. We read every message, although we cannot always reply individually.
Response times
We prioritize messages about accuracy, safety and legal matters.
- Corrections: we aim to review requests within 48 hours.
- Privacy requests: we respond within the time limits set by applicable law.
- Tips, business and general inquiries: we reply as soon as our team is able.
