Rep. Thomas Massie says he is prepared to read names from the Epstein files publicly
This short clip covers Rep. Thomas Massie's statements that he is prepared to publicly name people mentioned in the Epstein files whose names were redacted. Massie, a Kentucky Republican, co-led the effort with Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna that produced the Epstein Files Transparency Act. According to CBS News, the two used a discharge petition to force a House vote, the bill passed the House 427-1 and the Senate unanimously, and President Trump said on November 19, 2025, that he had signed it. The law requires the Justice Department to make public its unclassified records related to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. Massie has argued that the department withheld or over-redacted material. He lost his Republican primary in May 2026 to Trump-backed challenger Ed Gallrein, and in an interview on NBC's Meet the Press that month he continued to press for more disclosure. Being named in the Epstein files does not by itself mean a person committed a crime.
